During this past week of internship work I continued to make great progress in communication and technical development. I spent a lot of time working with Joe. We focused on the expectations I have for him to send over customer reviews by the middle of this week so I can add them to the website. This is an important step in building the site because it will build credibility and trust for new potential clients. Strengthening this communication with him has made the process easier and more organized overall.
I also spent time this week working on search engine optimization. I researched ways to improve the website’s visibility in search engines so it can rank higher in search results and reach a bigger audience. I looked deeper into security protocols to make sure that Joe’s website is safe, and all his information is protected. Educating myself more about website security has been valuable because it is such a important part of building a professional site.
Another update is that I got the agreement form completed for Sam’s website. I am looking forward to bringing his vision to life and his website. We’ve had quite a few conversations about what he wants his website to look like and the kind of content that he wants included. We’ve also discussed the overall timeline and his expectations for the project.
I’ve communicated with both of my clients about sending over images of their work. This helps add a more personal touch to the website and makes it more visually appealing to any viewers. Talking through their ideas has helped me understand how to design each site in a way that truly represents their company and its goals.
Overall, this week I took great strides in communication and planning. I’m excited to keep building these projects and continue bringing their websites and visions to life.
