The Secret to Great Websites: SEO + Smart Client Conversations

This week I put my focus heavily on developing SEO for Joe’s website. I am still waiting to receive some pictures and additional content from him. I focused on creating keywords and adjusted how the website pages would appear in search. For most of the websites I used keywords such as “auto-repair, Eau Claire, Local Auto mechanics, car, maintenance, brakes, etc. I also focused on how I wanted the website to appear in search. i adjusted the title and descriptions for each page. I also talked to Joe more in depth about design preferences. He luckily already had a logo and sent it my way so I could get an idea of the colors of his website.

Along with working hard on Joe’s website I talked more in depth with Sam, my other potential client. He owns a landscaping business and would love a website. We talked about design preferences, pages he would like included in his website, social media links, and services. We also talked about budget. After this great conversation with Sam I was able to start the agreement form.

I am looking forward to adding to Joe’s site and beginning on Sam’s website.

  1. I am going to start working on keywords and SEO for my sites next week. I’m waiting on assets so this is a good time to work on that and make sure the mobile will load correctly!
